wingo Monument is an art installation by Daniele Nicolosi, one of Italy's most famous contemporary Graffiti artists. Somewhat unconventionally, the artist has chosen to exhibit the artwork in the Mart's underground car park.
From 2010 to 2020, Nicolosi (AKA Bros) drove a Renault Twingo, which soon became an extension of his art studio. The artist's car was home to his paints, spray cans, and other materials, and accompanied him on his search for new urban surfaces to graffiti.
For the occasion, the artist has decided to turn his Twingo into an unusual and ironic monument. The car is exhibited in the car park as a multisensory pavilion featuring lights, arrows, sounds, and copyright-free songs. The artwork thus dialogues with both the architecture of the surrounding space and with the concept of time and the memory it holds. The public will be able to peer through the car windows to find out more about the artist's tools and ways in which he's worked over the past decade.
